Hachinohe Welcome Tickets to new residents
2011.04.07 Concernig the extension of the period of validity for Hachinohe Welcome Tickets due to the major earthquake
Due to the major earthquake in the Tohoku region off the Pacific coastline, there are facilities that stopped business.
Therefore for tickets that had a validity period until March 31st 2011, we will extend the validity period to April 30th 2011.
Furthermore, after April 1steach facility has resumed regular business.
Please submit the ticket at the ticket window of each of the facilities.

- Historic Nejo Plaza
- Hachinohe City Art Museum (From April 18th ~April 22nd it will be closed due to exhibit changes)
- Hachinohe City Jomon Archaeological Study Center
- Hachinohe Audio-Visual Center Children's Science Museum
- Hachinohe City Fisheries Science Museum Mariento (Suisan Kagakukan Mariento)
- Nanbuyama Healthy Exercise Park Heated Pool
- Nango Sports Institution Indoor Pool
- Nango Historic Folk Culture Museum
- Niida Park Indoor Ice-skating Rink
Excluding the Nagane Park Piping Skate Rink (Open from early December to late February) and the Nagane Park Public Pool (Open from early June to late August)
About the Hachinohe Welcome Ticket
In order for new residents to see and understand Hachinohe quickly and have fun living here, we give out Hachinohe Welcome Tickets during moving procedures.
They are tickets that allow new residents to visit 12 different city public facilities one time for free. Please use them!
(attention)The cost of making welcome tickets and the special envelope for them is covered by advertising costs from advertisement businesses.
The facilities you can visit
Hachinohe City Museum
Separated into four exhibit areas containing Archaeological, Historical, Ethnological and Intangible materials, you can comprehensively study Hachinohe’s history.
Historic Nejo Plaza
This is a reconstruction based on excavation research of the appearance of Nejo Castle during the Azuchi-Momoyama Period. It was chosen as one of the 100 Fine Castles of Japan
Hachinohe City Art Museum
In order to create an art museum with close ties to the region, we have the works of many modern and pre-modern artists with connections to the local area.
Hachinohe City Jomon Archaeological Study Center
It exhibits and introduces items unearthed from the Korekawa site, and there are designated important cultural properties within the 633 items on exhibit.
Hachinohe Audio-Visual Center Children's Science Museum (Planetarium)
This is a facility that screens a planetarium show and cultivates in children an interest in science.
Hachinohe Fishery Science Museum Mariento
A facility that allows you to learn while playing, with tanks holding local fish, exhibits on Black Tern Gulls, etc.
Nanbuyama Healthy exercise Park Heated Pool
Within the Healthy exercise Center that also has a gymnasium and training center, there is a 25m pool and a toddler’s pool.
Nango Sports Institution Indoor Heated Pool
There is a 25m pool, a toddler’s pool and a water slide.
Nango Historic Folk Culture Museum
In addition to blue eyed dolls sent in 1927 to strengthen the relations between Japan and the U.S., historic living ware and electrical appliances are also on display.
Niida Park Ice-skating Rink
Since it is an indoor ice-skating rink, you can enjoy ice-skating from early September to late April.
Nagane Park Piping Skate Rink
Besides holding the National Sports Festival of Japan here eleven times, other international class competitions are also held at this outdoor speed ice-skating rink.
Nagane Park Public Pool
It is within the grounds of Nagane Park in downtown Hachinohe, and has a 50m pool and pools for children and toddlers.
