How to dispose of disaster waste

We will collect all disaster waste caused by the March 11th 2011 earthquake for free.  We will collect from March 14th 2011 to April 15th 2011.

(attention)We will not collect on the weekends. However we will collect during the holiday on March 21st 2001.

1. Due to the fact that we have a shortage of fuel for our garbage trucks, from March 16th 2011 we will not provide collection services. In addition from March 21st 2011 we will not provide provisional non-burnable garbage collection services. We will inform you through various information channels (website, newspapers, TV, radio, etc.) so please check these information channels for more information. We deeply apologize to all the citizens of Hachinohe, but for the time being we ask you to store your garbage until we are able to provide collection services again. 
2. If you have a large amount of disaster waste, oversized trash, or landfill waste, you can personally bring it to the following locations that provide disposal services.

Please tell the reception desk that the waste you brought is disaster waste [Saigai Gomi]. There is no charge. Also, please tell the people at the reception desk your name, address and phone number.

If you are unable to bring disaster garbage, please contact the Hachinohe Sanitation Office. [Tel: (0178)27-4511]. We will personally collect your garbage.

Please drop it off after following all procedures necessary for each location that provides carry-in waste services.
