2011.06.24 Disaster Certificates

We will distribute “Disaster Certificates” that permit use of highway toll roads free of charge.

Measures were taken starting June 20th to make the highway toll roads free of charge for people who have either a “Disaster Certificate” or a “Disaster Victim Certificate” in disaster areas of the Great Eastern Japan Earthquake. We will distribute “Disaster Certificates” in the way explained below.

Concerning the distribution of Disaster Certificates

  • Eligibility
Everyone who completed Hachinohe resident registration between March 11th and April 8th is eligible.
  • Distribution Method
There is no need to apply; we will send it to all registered residents through mail. We plan on distributing after mid-July.

For those who need a “Disaster Certificate” before mid-July, we apologize for the inconvenience but ask that you please come to either the first floor of the city office or the special window at the Nango district office and apply.

For those who already have a “Disaster Victim Certificate” due to the Great Eastern Japan Earthquake, you can use highway toll roads for free just by using your “Disaster Victim Certificate”.
