Information from the Transportation Department

Due to the earthquake, there is an insufficient amount of bus fuel. For the time being after March  16^th buses will run on a [Sunday/Holiday Schedule] and all buses from 12:00 -16:00 and those that start after 19:00 will not be running.

Also, due to damage from the tsunami, the following areas will not have bus service until it is considered safe.

• Minato Honcho ~ Gyoko-Dori ~ Shirogane ~ Same Elementary School Dori
• Hattaro ~ Hattaro Seikatsukan mae ~ Seirensho mae ~ Mitsubishi Seishi mae ~ Hamaichikawa ~ Tagadai Danchi
• Hoshihama ~ Ookuki ~ Kanehama ~ Kanehama Eki mae ~ Kanehama Elementary School mae
• City Rotation Line (Shinai Junkan Sen)

Also, we will provide weekday schedule bus service for the following lines and areas so people can go to school and work. 

• [Hi-tech Park Line]: The following lines will be running on the weekday schedule.
  • Leaves Downtown(Chushingai) Muika Machi at 7:36 to Hi-tech Park
  • Leaves Hi-tech Park at 18:00 to Downtown(Chushingai)
• [Downtown(Chushingai) Muika Machi ~ Nishi Uruichi ~ Kawaragi Danchi ~ Shakentoroku Jimusho ~ Tagadai Danchi]
• The bus line leaving Downtown(Chushingai) Muika Machi at 7:15 heading to Tagadai by passing through Nishi Uruichi and Kawaragi Danchi has changed and will now pass through Nishi Uruichi ~ Kawaragi Danchi ~ Shakentoroku jimusho.
  Please note that there will be no bus service for [Kikyono Kogyo Danchi]

Due to power saving measures after the major earthquake Hachinohe portal museum [hacchi] is going to change its closing hours from 9:00pm to 6:00 pm after March 14^thfor the time being. Due to this, you also cannot buy [hacchi] information bus commuter passes (teikiken), commuter tickets (kaisuken) or regular bus tickets (joshaken) after 6:00pm.
