Offering of prefectural housing for disaster victims

We have started accepting applications for residence in prefectural housing for disaster victims of the Tohoku area Pacific Ocean earthquake.

• Hachinohe-city 17 homes
• Towada-city 3 homes
• Mutsu-city 3 homes
• Aomori-city 13 homes
• Gosyogawara-city 2 homes
• Hirosaki-city 1 home

• You can reside for a maximum of two years.
• When your residency period ends if you fulfill the necessary residency qualifications for public housing etc., we will respond to your wishes and allow special residency due to disaster (residency not decided by lottery).

You are exempt from rent costs during the two year residency period. You are also exempt from paying security deposits (shikikin) and providing a guarantor (Hoshonin)

If due to the major earthquake and tsunami on March 11th your current home was completely destroyed or washed away and you have no place to live. (We will confirm this through Disaster Victim Certificates issued by cities, towns and villages)

(attention)You will not be asked about necessary qualifications for residency in public housing through the Public Housing Act. (Income, family size)

From 2011 March 17^th (Thursday)

First lottery (Using applications received up to March 25^th, 5:00 pm)

If there are a large number of applicants, we will decide successful applicants and the sequence they will enter prefectural housing by lottery and allocate prefectural housing accordingly.

Date and time of the lottery 2011 March 28^th(Monday) in the morning hours

We will notify successful applicants by phone

Enter the necessary information on the application for permission of temporary use of housing, and send it with the disaster victim certificate issued at each city, town and village.
