Provision of Hachinohe City Disaster Relief Money

  At Hachinohe City we will give public donations collected from across Japan after the major earthquake in the Tohoku region off the Pacific Coastline to families affected by the disaster.  

Households living in apartments and condominiums are also eligible. However、if there are several households living in one home, then as a general rule the amount given will not exceed the amount for a single household.

• A Disaster Victim Certificate is necessary. For those who do not have one, please follow all procedures for applying for a Disaster Victim Certificate at the Residential Taxes Section (Jumin Zei Ka).
• Please bring your personal seal (inkan) and the main bankbook for the household when you come to apply.
• Please fill out all fields necessary when applying for Hachinohe city disaster relief money.

(attention)If you are living in an evacuation shelter and have already applied for a “Disaster Victim Certificate”, then please consult with city officials at the evacuation shelter.  

1. Procedures for transferring relief money to your bank account start the next day after your application is received. Transfers to bankbooks can take up to 3-4 days.
2. For those who have already finished applying for the Natural Disaster Victims Relief System, we will go ahead and begin procedures for transfer as needed.
